HOW DOES SELECTION WORK?
The NEXUS community is recognized for the exceptional quality of its Members. We pride ourselves on fostering an exclusive community of leaders in the philanthropic and social entrepreneurial worlds that are developing and supporting innovative solutions to large-scale global challenges. Therefore admission to the community is highly selective. Given Members receive prioritized admission, we strongly encourage all non-member applicants to apply early in order to ensure a higher chance of acceptance.

In addition to the written component of the application, a number of criteria are used to determine admission, including member referrals, personal and professional background, diversity, and more. We review each application within a few weeks of submission.

WHEN DOES THE APPLICATION PROCESS BEGIN?
Applications usually open three to four months before Summits. Visit our applications page to see the next upcoming event. Join our mailing list to receive email announcements and stay up-to-date on Summit application openings and other news.
DOES A QUALITY APPLICATION GUARANTEE ADMISSION?

No, admission to NEXUS Summits is highly selective with many more applications than available spots. If your application is successful you will get a formal response within a few weeks. Once accepted, you still must register before spots fill up or the registration deadline. Note that tickets to NEXUS Summits are non-transferable.

WHAT IS THE TARGET AGE OF NEXUS SUMMITS?
NEXUS is focused on fostering a philanthropic spirit and commitment to creating impact in the millenial generation. Therefore most participants fall between the ages of 15 and 40, with a special emphasis on the next generation. However up to 10 percent of spots are made available to allies and mentors over 40.
HOW CAN I NOMINATE A SPEAKER?
We are always looking for incredible speakers who are at the cutting edge of innovative philanthropy and using social entrepreneurship to solve great challenges. If you are a NEXUS Member and would like to nominate a speaker you feel will inspire our community please email us at: info@NEXUSGlobal.org Just remember, we’ve had a 13-year-old rocket scientist come speak so your nominee better be ready to wow us!
WILL THERE BE TRANSLATION?
A translation service may be offered at some of our Summits. Please email info@nexusglobal.org for more information.

** NEXUS is looking for a translation company to partner with our network during foreign Summits. If you know of a translation company interested in working with us please email info@nexusglobal.org with details or introductions.

WHAT HOTELS DO YOU RECOMMEND?
Ahead of each Summit, NEXUS sends out hotel recommendations in an email to all delegates. Special reserved hotel blocks and discounts is dependent on each Summit individually and will be communicated to the participants ahead of time.
WHO ATTENDS NEXUS SUMMITS?
NEXUS Summits bring together the world’s most accomplished and innovative and young philanthropists, impact investors, social entrepreneurs and thought leaders. While we do not make participant lists available to the public, there are partial lists of hosts, panelists, presenters and advisors on the pages of each summit website.
WHAT IS THE COST?
The fees for NEXUS vary depending on the Summit but are in keeping with other conferences of similar stature. Limited subsidies are available for social entrepreneurs, however, all participants are responsible for covering the costs of their own travel and accommodations.

If you are inspired by a fellow changemaker and interested in helping to support their participation in a NEXUS Summit please send us an email at info@nexusglobal.org.

WHAT SHOULD I WEAR TO NEXUS SUMMITS?
Attire may vary depending on the location and country of the Summit, but a general rule unless otherwise noted is Business Casual attire. We would like all of our participants to be comfortable and best represent who you are, although we ask that you respect the local culture and expectations of our partnering venues. The attire for NEXUS dinners and parties is upscale casual; we would like our participants to feel free to dress up for these events if they would like to, but it is not a requirement.

I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any loss, liability, damage, or costs, including court costs and attorneys’ fees, that may be incurred due to participation in NEXUS and its activities.

WILL THERE BE FREE TIME DURING SUMMITS?
Our Members are what make our NEXUS network special (we like hanging with you too!) and we understand you’ll want to spend time getting to know one another and want a little downtown to recharge. We’re only together for two days and have a lot to discuss and many incredible speakers we want to introduce to you, so time is tight. That said, we do our best to schedule breaks between our daytime programming and evening events so that you can be fully energized and present during your Summit experience. (Each Summit will vary so see the programs for details)
WHAT IS THE FORMAT FOR NEXUS SESSIONS?
Our Summit sessions may take many different forms ranging from workshops to panel discussions. The schedule, agenda and list of speakers is announced one week prior to the start of all Summits. That information will be sent via a welcome email from the NEXUS HQ team and can be found on the NEXUS Pathable App.

How are Working Groups Different from Labs
NEXUS Working Groups are Member-led initiatives that allow members to further pursue impact by organizing around issue areas they are passionate about. We meet each other, learn together, and then take action. Visit the Working Group page here. By contrast, NEXUS Labs are a platform for experimental ventures in development that don’t have the same metrics and accountability yet as Working Groups do. As early-stage Member-led initiatives Labs allow NEXUS Members to explore new issue areas they are passionate about to see if it resonates with the community. Visit the Labs page here.
